This film is annoying, but it's not the worst movie I've ever seen. It's way too long, which I dislike quite a lot. But the songs are all okay. Some are better than others, like King of New York compared to Santa Fe. Santa Fe had the worst dance scene in the whole film. Christian Bale was just... awkward. The best dance scene was of course from King of New York.
This obviously isn't my favorite Disney movie ever. It was slightly lame. But not too lame. I loved the depictions of the costumes and the old-time New York accent. It was humorous. It had its moments, I suppose. It also had its clichéd Disney triumph; i.e., the little guy defeats the big guy, the good conquers evil, same old crap, different movie.

It's based on a true story about children at the turn of the century, working to make a living. This ensemble of unruly boys fought for what they believed they were entitled to, ridding America from putting children in sweat shops.
Spot Conlon is a total BABE ... well for a little boy. I'm no pedophile, but if he was just a few years older in this movie, oh baby. He's got a nice face. Just the idea of Spot Conlon is hot as fuck.
Bill Pullman is like the only adult in this movie (other than David's parents and Medda, the stripper) The fact that Denton and Medda almost always hung out with little boys made them terribly creepy.
Anywho, young Christian Bale is best Christian Bale. This movie, along with Little Women and Swing Kids are some of my favourite Christian Bale movies.
